Neely Price Essay Competition

W. G. Neely Prize

The Church of Ireland Historical Society (COIHS) has hosted two annual conferences at Armagh and Dublin for over twenty years. The aim is to provide an internationally
recognised forum for promoting sound academic standards in the study of Irish church history as well as encouraging further research in this discipline.

As part of the Society's commitment to promote ecclesiastical history, and in memory of its founder, the W. G. Neely Prize offers postgraduate students an opportunity to extend
their research. Interested candidates are required to submit an essay on any aspect of the history of the Church of Ireland. All entries will be judged anonymously. The prizewinner will be awarded €150 and offered to present his/her paper at one of the Society's conferences in 2016. The deadline for submission of essays is Friday, 5 June 2015.
